Another jewel in the crown of Puerto Vallarta’s Conchas Chinas Beach is this exquisite private villa with nine bedrooms and a commanding view of the Bay of Banderas. Another of the original private villas built here almost 40 years ago, this villa boasts traditional Mexican décor and ambience with great style and grace. You will feel right at home here immediately upon arrival, and probably never want to leave! Because despite being an enormous property, it feels incredibly intimate.
The house’s common areas downstairs flow incredibly well between indoors and outdoors. The main living room is directly connected with a large outdoor patio that overlooks the wonderful swimming pool. Past the living room is an intimate formal dining room and amazing gourmet kitchen. The bedrooms can be found on the two upstairs floors, and almost all have beautiful views either of the pool or the ocean, or both.
The finest area of the house is actually the outdoor pool area. The pool itself commands most of the space, but there are plenty of loungers surrounding the pool, and a lovely covered outdoor dining area and mini-kitchen, perfect for barbeques or grilling fish etc. Your group will undoubtedly be spending most of their time here, but just down a little staircase, you’ll find yourself on the best beach in Vallarta! Playa Conchas Chinas is officially a public beach, but because the access is relatively limited, it’s never crowded and always beautiful! The occasional rocky places add much visual interest and make for great, if a bit scary, climbing.
Each bedroom contains its own en suite bathroom, and each one is painted with a different color making each quite distinctive. You may have guests fighting over some of them, but all are very nice! We especially love the tilework in the bathrooms and the traditional Mexican furniture!
The neighborhood of lower Conchas Chinas is also wonderful in its own right. The little street where you’ll find this villa is narrow with cobblestones and just below the main highway leading south from Puerto Vallarta. You can either walk along this street and a bit on the highway to reach town, or you can even stroll along the beach about 15 minutes to reach the main beach in Vallarta, Playa Los Muertos. Of course, it’s always possible to grab a taxi, but we recommend the walk into town at least once during your stay.

AIR: This area of Mexico is served by Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). It maintains good air connectivity with all major cities in the western U.S. and Canada, and major hubs throughout the countries. Check this recent blog article about nonstop flights to Puerto Vallarta in the high season winter months from major U.S. and Canadian hubs.
LAND: This private villa lies just south of downtown Puerto Vallarta and approximately six miles south of the PVR airport in the Conchas Chinas neighborhood. It is easily walkable to the gay-famed Playa Los Muertos, but most guests typically take a taxi back home. There are two private parking spaces made available for guests. Taxi or shuttle service from the airport is easily arrangeable.
OTHER LODGING NEARBY: There are a couple of other private villas located nearby within walking distance, and numerous AirBNB rental apartments as well. Any nearby boutique hotels are approximately 10-15 minutes walk or within fewer than 5 minutes by taxi.
EVENT and RENTAL OPTIONS: The house (9 bedrooms) rents out at $2000 US dollars per night in high season and $1500 per night in low season. Assuming 18 guests, this becomes $111 US dollars per person per night in high season and $83 per person per night in low season. An event fee of $1000 US dollars is charged for events, and the minimum house rental for an event is 4 nights. The event fee is waived for 7-night rentals. Due to space limitations, this property can’t accommodate more than 75 guests for an event on the beach and no more than 20 in the private pool area. A federal permit is necessary to hold events on the beach, but it’s not expensive and easily arranged.
