Sayulita Style

We’ll admit that we had help in creating this design from an enterprising Mexican bride local to Puerto Vallarta, but who’s counting? This is an amazing combination of colorful, authentic and relaxed elements that you’ll be hard-pressed to surpass anywhere else in Mexico for your destination wedding! We used elements ranging from real surfboards and fishnets with seashells to “ojos de Dios,” (eyes of God), which are authentic spiritual icons of the local indigenous Huichol people in Jalisco and Nayarit states. Colorful flowers, hanging crystal hearts, hand-woven table runners all rounded out the very Mexican theme.

Another fun element to this event that could be a great option for yours was a series of buffet stations set up by the host hotel featuring a bounty of different local food options, mostly centered around fresh local seafood. The buffet was open for two hours, allowing guests to nibble and graze to their hearts’ content and really enjoy all the options offered.
