Casa Cupula, Puerto Vallarta’s first luxury LGBT resort, recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, and in true Mexican style, had a huge party featuring a Mexican drag quinceanera and two other well-known female impersonators, Cynthia Lee Fontaine from RuPaul’s Drag Race program and Paige Turner from New York City performing locally in Vallarta this winter. Mexico Event Design and our partner company LOve Productions PV helped to coordinate the event,
This gorgeous and elegant boutique hotel is nestled in the Amapas hills just blocks above Puerto Vallarta’s well-known Romantic Zone. It guest suites are individual and distinctive, and offer high standards of luxury at affordable prices. Most offer ocean views and terraces, even laundry machines for longer stays, and all feature high-quality amenities.
The hotel also features two distinct open spaces for weddings and events. The lower pool terrace, where the anniversary party was held, offers a beautiful, tropical, and intimate venue for events, and can also include the hotel’s restaurant, Taste, which has a large indoor area and show kitchen, along with a lovely balcony with jungle views. The upper pool terrace, normally Vallarta’s only clothing optional pool area, can be converted into an event space as well for up to 75 people in banquet style if the pool itself is covered. This area offers great views of the ocean and downtown Vallarta right below, as well as a terraced fountain area that is lovely for small ceremonies.
The hotel’s Pump Gym is more developed that most hotel gyms. It is quite popular among locals and guests visiting Vallarta, offering daily and weekly passes. Taste Restaurant is also highly lauded locally and will handle event catering services.
We highly recommend this hotel’s two venues for smaller and intimate destination weddings for Gay and Lesbian couples whose guests are either all more mostly part of our Community. We also have arrangements with several nearby oceanfront private villas and boutique hotels in case couples seek larger or beachfront spaces for your wedding, but still wish to house all or most of your Gay/Lesbian guests in an LGBT-marketed property.
We at Mexico Event Design are in the process of working out a marketing agreement with Casa Cupula to become their in-house wedding coordinators.
