We can arrange any type of ceremony that you’d like to celebrate. In Mexico there’s a distinction between a legal ceremony (with a judge) and a religious or spiritual ceremony (with a celebrant or priest).

Legal Ceremony

You can have a legal ceremony here if you’d like to—it’s now completely legal here in several parts of Mexico, including Puerto Vallarta! We will arrange the date and time with the appropriate local judge. The trick is that you must be in Mexico at least three business days before that legal ceremony in order to fill out the necessary paperwork and conduct a blood test. There is also some pre-paperwork necessary before you come here. We can help arrange the Mexican part of the process—it’s just a very important factoid to know about! Link to Legal Requirements. The legal part doesn’t take more than 10-15 minutes typically, and very few judges speak other-than-Spanish, so you may well choose to not have it be part of the actual ceremony.

Spiritual or Religious Ceremony

We work with a variety of local religious leaders in various faiths here in our bases in Mexico—Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, as well as non-denominational celebrants. We also happen to have experience with Sikh and Hindu weddings.

Mayan or Aztec Ceremony

A very special touch with weddings here is to have a sacred Maya or Aztec ceremony with a shaman.

 

DECORATING YOUR CEREMONY

Ceremonies of whatever type on the beach are always meaningful, beautiful, and enjoyable! And also hot! It is for this last reason that most are also relatively brief. They tend to occur soon before sunset or relatively early in the morning to avoid the mid-day sun.
