Their main activity is to coordinate the work of the different service providers and to make sure that all of them show up and work according to plan.  Many hotels and resorts have wedding coordinators on staff to work with couples throughout their planning process.

They help create the program and sequence of the event activities, and work with the other service providers to make the event seamless. Most wedding planners work independently and maintain extensive networks of professional subcontractors.

Wedding Designers

Wedding designers work with their clients to imagine, co-create, and design the entire concept of the event, including the program, the decoration and illumination, the menus, the ambience, the activities, the surprises for guests! Not just decorators, they work much like interior designers to harmonize and synthesize seemingly disparate elements into a unified look or concept.
